Park with Sophie

Me, Mommy, Aunt Kori, Sophie and Mawmaw all went to a park while we were still visiting in Winston-Salem. It was my first time to go with Sophie to a park. Well, we really didn't play much together while we were there, but we did swing at the same time! It was still a lot of fun! I just love being outside!

Bubbles and Mawmaw Deck

Me and Mommy went to Winston-Salem to celebrate Sophie's first birthday, but we went a week early so that we could visit with all of Mommy's family!  Mawmaw Deck even flew into town from Memphis so I got to spend some special time with her (and Mommy did too)!  While we were there Pawpaw bought some bubbles and I quickly realized that I sure do LOVE bubbles!  I even said the word 'bubble' while we were there!  Here are a few pics from our first days there.

Talking

Here is a short video that Mommy took of me saying 'bubble' for the first time!

Allergic

I started to get a few red spots on my belly during the afternoon today.  After an hour or so they had doubled in number.  I took my bath and went to bed because I was acting normal...I didn't have a fever and ate dinner normally.  Around midnight I started crying pretty bad.  Mommy and Daddy tried to soothe me back to sleep for about an hour (with all the lights off of course).  After that didn't work, they turned on the lamp and knew immediately that we had to go to the ER.  My body was covered in those red spots - head to toe.  I think Mommy was freaking out a bit, but she was trying to stay calm for me.

When we got to the ER there was no one in the waiting room, but unfortunately we had to still wait about 45 minutes before we were seen.  When the doctor finally came in she asked Mommy and Daddy a bunch of questions and looked at my skin with a super bright light.  She determined that since  I had been taking Augmentin for an ear infection (I had taken 9 days worth) that I was allergic to Penicillin (Augmentin is in the Penicillin family of medicine).  The doctor said the red bumps could stick around for 6-10 days.

We got home from the ER around 4:30 in the morning.  I was pretty tired and went back to sleep pretty quickly.  I slept until around 9:30 that morning, but when I woke up I was super itchy.  All the doctor said for me to take was Benadryl.  So, Mommy kept me on it to help with the uncomfortableness!  All I did for the next few days was sit and sleep in Mommy's arms - Daddy had to work.  I didn't really eat much - just drank a lot of Gatorade.

The bumps would start out really red and spread through out my body.  As they spread, they would get bigger and they itched me all over!  As they would fade away, they would look like bruises.  As some bumps faded away new ones would appear.  It was a really rough couple of days for us all, but after 7 days, all the bumps were gone!!!

Mommy and Daddy didn't take many pictures until day 4 of the bumps.

Trying to get my diaper off.  I didn't like for anything to touch
the bumps because they itched so bad.

Day 4
You can see how they looked like bruises as they began to fade away.

Spending time with Mawmaw

Mawmaw came down for a visit today and it was so beautiful outside that we decided to head to the park in Rolesville.  We had a good time, but a lot of the equipment was to big for me.  The next day we headed to the mall to do some shopping.  Just so you know...I am not a fan of shopping!  After Mommy and Mawmaw were finished, we headed to the playground in the mall.  I LOVED playing on their equipment!
