Waving

I am starting to wave a little (or at least that is what it looks like). I have not quite figured out how to do it on demand just yet. Tonight we were in a restaurant while visiting with Mommy's family - including Mawmaw Deck who flew down from Memphis to see me! Mommy was able to get me waving on video a few times!

Learning the stairs

Mommy took this video of me on September 6th. I am starting to figure out how to crawl up the stairs. Since this was taken over 2 weeks ago, I have really mastered the stairs now! I can crawl up them in 2.5 seconds so Daddy has put a halt on that by installing a baby gate! Which by the way is TOTALLY UNCOOL!!!

My First Tooth

I started to get my first two teeth during the middle of August.  They came in on the bottom in the center.  I did really well with them coming through. I only had a fever for one night and wasn't to fussy!  This is the best picture I could find of me showing my teeth.

Sick

Mommy had to take me to the doctor yesterday because over the weekend I picked up a nasty virus.  I unfortunately passed it on to Daddy along with Grandma and Granddaddy.  We were all sick with yucky vomiting and diarrhea.  It was a rough couple of days for everyone.  Some how Mommy was spared this sickness - lucky her!  Thank goodness Mommy was ok because she had to take care of me and Daddy!

This was my first time to have vomiting and diarrhea.

Waking Up

Mommy wanted you all to see how I look when I wake up in the morning.  I have a smile (most of the time) on my face and am ready to start crawling around and start the day!

My First Trip to the Aquarium

Me, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Granddaddy went to the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores today because it was pouring rain while we were down at the beach. I really enjoyed seeing all the fish and looking around at all the people. Here are a few pics from our adventure.

Ms. Lisa

I have mentioned before that I go to feeding therapy every week to help me with swallowing and chewing. I wanted you all to see who my therapist is. Her name is Ms. Lisa and I love seeing her every week! She is always smiling and I enjoy flirting back with her (I love making the ladies smile). Her and Mommy talk a lot during our session, but I just get to eat - so cool!

9 Month Birthday

My Mommy is SUPER behind in posting this - she says she is very sorry. Time has just gone by too quickly. Well, I forgive her so I hope you will too!

Here are my newest accomplishments since turning 9 months old:

*I am crawling now! At first I crawled a 'modified army crawl' but after a few weeks of that I figured out how to crawl normally. Man I can get anywhere I want and I get there FAST!
*I can move around in a circle while sitting up on my bottom, but only using my feet and heels.
*I am still drinking 6 oz of formula (Nutramigen), but I eat solids for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
*Daddy is making most of my food now.  For breakfast I eat oatmeal mixed with a fruit.  For lunch I eat a mixture of veggies.  For dinner I eat a meat and veggie mixture.
*My favorite dish that Daddy makes is chicken, sweet potatoes, apples, and roasted onions - yummy!
*My favorite fruit is mango and peaches.  I also really like pears.
*My favorite vegetable is sweet potatoes, but I also like spinach and broccoli.
*I still do not really like to hold my bottle that much.  I prefer that Mommy or Daddy hold it for me.
*When Mommy and Daddy eat dinner, I REALLY want to be eating too!
*I got my first tooth (well actually my first 2 teeth) when I was 9 1/2 months.  It was the bottom 2 teeth.  I handled it all really well.  I only had a fever for one night and was not really that fussy either.
*I LOVE to put anything and everything in my mouth!
*I am really 'talking' now.  I like to make lots of sounds.
*I LOVE to smile and laugh and squeal!
*My eye color is hazel.
*My hair has REALLY grown in the last month.  It is pretty fine and sticks straight up.  The color is a light brown.
*I usually sneeze 3-4 times and smile afterwards.
*I move around a lot at night in my crib.  I favor the top right corner while sleeping.
*I am wearing 6-9 month clothes.
*I am still wearing size 2 diapers but will be out of them soon!
*I am taking a bath in the big tub now - I have out grown my baby bath tub!  It is so cool to be in the big tub.  There is so much more room to move around and play.  I LOVE bath time!
*I am still taking 2 mls of Prilosec 3 times a day for my acid reflux.  It is getting better now though!
*I am still going to Carolina Pediatric Dysphagia every week for feeding therapy.
*I enjoy being outside and going for rides in my stroller.
*My favorite toys right now are: plastic cups, empty plastic bottles, any kind of ball, remote controls, and cords.  Mommy and Daddy keep me away from the remotes and cords though.

Height - 26.5 in which is 5th percentile on the regular growth chart

9 Month Dr. Appt.

Mommy and Daddy took me to my 9 month doctor's appointment back on August 21st - I know, I know. I am SUPER behind on getting these pictures up here. Well, after the nurse weighed me we were all waiting for the doctor to come in. I was starting to get restless so I decided to play with the paper on the table. I had a great time destroying that paper!!!  Did you know that it makes the funniest sound when you shake and tear it?  Here are a few pictures that Daddy took of me.

It has been WAY to long since I last visited with Mommy's friend Regina. We had a good time spending some time together! She couldn't believe how much I had changed and grown!!!

I LOVE my bed!  When I wake up in morning I play for a little while with my paci's (that is the only time I get them is during naps and bed time) before I call for Mommy.  But shhhhh - don't tell her.  She doesn't know how much I like playing in my crib!

Happy Grandparents Day

Trying Out the Stairs

This video was taken on September 6th - the day I turned 10 months old. Mommy wanted you all to see that I have figured out how to crawl up on my knees and arms (not the modified Army crawl anymore) AND that I am able to sit up to my bottom from a crawling position AND that I have noticed the stairs. I try REALLY hard to climb up the stairs, but have not really figured out how to do this yet. Don't worry Mommy - I will figure it out soon - I PROMISE!!!! Then you will have to put up those baby gates!!!

Eating a Popsicle

This video was taken at Mawmaw's house back on September 3rd. Mommy and Daddy had allowed me to taste their popsicles before (which I loved by the way), but this particular one tasted different to me. The flavor of the popsicle was strawberry, but it sure did taste weird! I also really wanted to hold it, but Daddy would not let me.

Pulling Up

Daddy took this video back on August 22nd. It was the first time I pulled up on anything. I used our coffee table which is just the right height for me! My favorite thing to do is put a toy inside the coffee table and then pull it right back out. I am pulling up now on EVERYTHING that I possibly can!
