Mommy took this video Sunday afternoon of me waving at her. She was across the room in the kitchen. She started talking to me so I decided to give her a few waves. She started laughing hysterically and ran for the video camera. As you can see I waved a few more times to her and gave Daddy a nice surprise at the end - spit up!

My first MudCats Game
Tonight me, Mommy, Daddy, and Mawmaw went to my first baseball game. We went and saw the MudCats play the Birmingham Barons. The MudCats won the game 7-3, but we did not stay the whole time. We left after the 7th inning and the score was tied 3-3 so we missed a very exciting ending to the game. That's ok though because I was getting tired and it was time for my bath, bottle, and bed. We all had a great time together and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We even saw a rainbow on the way to the game! I got to eat my dinner at the ball park too! So cool! I also had to change clothes because I had a dirty diaper that got on my clothes a little - oops! All in all it was a great night though!
Weight Update
Daddy took me to the doctor again yesterday to get this awful cold checked out. Of course the doctor said it needs to run its course. I have had it for 2 weeks now and I have made both Mommy and Daddy sick too. While I was at the doctor they checked my weight - I now weigh 14 lbs 10 oz. Growing sooo fast!
I am now this BIG!
Before I Was a Mom
This post is from my Mommy:
Before I Was a Mom
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.
***I saw this on a friend's blog and loved it so much that I had to post it on mine. Thanks Sherry for sharing!***
Avocados
This past Thursday night (May 26th) I had my first 'real' food - avocados!!! Apparently it is good brain food for me!!! I made a few funny faces, but overall I liked it! I even opened my mouth several times for Mommy to give me more!

My new trick
I am now able to pick up and hold my bottle some - I am better at it when it is not a full bottle. Mommy took this video out on our screened in porch.

Scooting
Over the weekend I showed Mommy and Daddy how I am able to scoot! They were so impressed that they had to grab the video camera to show all of you! This was about the third time I had done it so I am a little tired by the time the camera came out. FYI - it looks like Daddy is pushing me, but I promise he is not. I am pushing off of his hand.

Oatmeal Cereal
Tonight Mommy and Daddy tried oatmeal cereal with me and I actually liked it better than rice cereal. Of course they had to capture it on video! Please excuse my eye - Mommy put medicine in it because I have been sick for a week now with a 'spring cold' (that is what the doctor called it). Hopefully I will feel better soon.

Weight Update
Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor today because I picked up another cold at daycare. I have had a runny nose and cough this week, but am feeling better today. They decided to take me anyway to see the doctor just to be safe. While we were there I got weighed. I am now a whopping 13 lbs 14 oz. Growing like a weed Mommy says!!! By the way - the doctor said there was nothing he could do for me. It is just a 'spring cold' I have.

6 Month Birthday
I turned 6 months old back on May 6th, but with Mommy back at work now she has a difficult time finding time to sit down and help me write this blog for all of you. Once she gets home she only wants to play with me although I tell her ALL THE TIME that we need to put up new pictures for everyone to see me. So finally we found time and here are my 6 month milestones - some new and some I am just better at now.
*I am able to put my toes in my mouth while laying down
*I am pretty close to rolling over from my back to my belly
*I am trying to sit up but fall forward or to the side after a second or two
*I enjoy playing on my belly now
*I am REALLY good at grabbing things - my hand/eye coordination is amazing
*I love to hold onto a toy and then throw/toss it to the ground
*I can transfer objects from hand to hand
*I can pull toys towards me and hold them tightly
*I like going for walks in my stroller
*I can hold my bottle for longer periods of time now, but still need help occasionally
*I drink 6 oz now from the bottle
*I can put my paci back in my mouth sometimes but not every time
*I LOVE to put absolutely everything in my mouth that I can pick up
*I am 'talking' constantly - ehhhhhhh is my favorite sound to make right now
*My eyes are still changing color - green with a little brown
*I still do not have much hair but it is growing slowly - it is brown with a little bit of auburn when the sun light hits it
*I still smile a lot and love to laugh
*I love to be tickled
*After I sneeze I always smile
*I nap in my crib - usually my naps come 2 hours after starting my bottle
*I sleep through the night - usually 9 hours
*I love sleeping with my arms out of the blanket & layed straight back above my head
*I love to look out at people and grin at them - I flirt a lot with the ladies
*I am wearing 3-6 month clothes
*I am in size 1 diapers
*I still enjoy listening to music and watching tv - the sounds & color excite me
*I still LOVE bath time & can sit up in the tub without help now
*After my bath I love for Mommy to clean out my ears with a q-tip
*I still droll a lot and have to keep a bib on all the time because of it and spitting up
*My acid reflux is even worse than last month. We have been back and forth to the doctor getting it checked out. I am now taking Prilosec 3 times a day (1.5 ml each time)
*I am awesome at taking the Prilosec out of the syringe. I do not need my paci anymore to make sure the medicine stays in my mouth
*I started rice cereal but do not really like it. Mommy thinks she is tricking me but I know she puts it in my bottle each night
*The doctor is a little concerned that I will not eat using a spoon - I close my mouth tight and turn my head from side to side - so I am seeing a food specialist in a few days to get checked out
*I still like drinking diluted apple juice
*I still really like gripe water - it calms me down if I am upset
*I have a few new toys that I enjoy playing with - my Johnny Jump Up (I don't really get the concept yet though), my exersaucer, my frog toy that is attached to my car seat
*I am now in daycare everyday & all day because Mommy is back at work
Here are my stats from my 6 month check up

Johnny Jump Up
Mommy and Daddy pulled out another new toy that they received at a baby shower for me. They said I was ready to try it now that I can hold my head up really good. I also really like to stand on Mommy's legs while she holds my hands so they thought I would enjoy bouncing (although I liked chewing on the side the best)!

Playing with my new toy
Thanks to Aunt Shannon and Holden I have a new toy to play with. It was Holden's when he was my age, but now he is to big for it, but I LOVE it!!! There are so many toys on this big circle tray and some even make noise and light up (which are my favorite by the way). I usually get to play in it every night - mostly while Mommy and Daddy eat their dinner.

Mother's Day Walk
Mother's Day
Today was Mommy's first Mother's Day! Daddy let her sleep in and made her breakfast. I watched as Daddy cooked her favorite foods and then we went upstairs to wake her up. I placed my hand on her arm to wake her. As soon as she opened her eyes, I grinned at her and gave her big laughs! She said that was the best wake up call ever! We had a great time playing together all day! I love you Mommy! Happy 1st Mother's Day!!!
Me and Daddy gave Mommy a blown up canvas picture of me! She LOVED it!!! FYI - The outfit I am wearing Mommy and Daddy bought me the weekend they told Mommy's family I was a boy! I can finally wear it!

Love my toes
Check me out...I can get my toes in my mouth and it is so much fun!!! I have been trying for several weeks now and can finally do it! I do not keep them in my mouth long because I get distracted and move on to something else. My favorite time to chew on my toes is when Mommy or Daddy are changing my diaper - hehehehehe!!!! Are you all impressed?

Mommy's First Day Back at Work
Mommy had to go back to work this morning. She was super sad to leave me and said she cried the whole drive there! She called Daddy on his cell phone as he drove me to day care to check on me. Daddy took this picture of us before she left. I hope she had a good week with her kids at school. I had fun at my school, but missed Mommy terribly!!!
