Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my followers out there! Wish I could be with you all tonight to help you ring in 2011! I'm looking forward to the new year! Mommy says that lots will happen over the next year like I will get to eat different types of food, I will start crawling, and even start talking! I can not wait to experience all those things & so much more! We are heading out to go to the lake...this will be my first trip there! Mommy will put up pictures later because there is no Internet access there. Happy 2011!!!

My play mat

One of my new toys that my Mawmaw gave me is my ocean play mat. Mommy and Daddy got it down from my closet today and I finally got to use it! I had so much fun looking around at all the different colors and ocean animals. Before long I will be trying to grab and pull at the animals! Mommy says that I can play on it everyday! Thanks Mawmaw!!!

Snow!!!

Guess what...it has snowed AGAIN here in Raleigh! It started snowing Christmas night around 6:00pm and it snowed all night and didn't stop until lunch time the next day. Daddy said we got 6-7 inches of snow at our house! I wanted to go out and play in the snow or at least go for a walk (with mommy or daddy carrying me of course), but they said it was too cold for me because I was only 7 weeks old. Maybe next time they told me...guess we will wait & see. They did allow me to go out and take a few pictures and a video in my Bumbo seat. This is my first time siting in it. Check me out!

Christmas Day

It's the day after Christmas and a lot happened today. I will get to that later, but first need to tell you all about my first Christmas! We (me, mommy and daddy) spent Christmas Eve night and Christmas day at grandma and granddaddy's house (that is daddy's parents). On Christmas Eve I got to see my cousins, aunts, uncles, and a few other friends. Daddy took me and my cousins upstairs off and on all night to track where Santa was on Norad (which was on the computer). Everyone was sooo excited as Santa got closer and closer. They were all saying that you had to be asleep in order for Santa to stop at your house...well guess what...that is no problem for me! I LOVE to sleep and do it all the time!!! I got to open one present from grandma and granddaddy (which we do every year on Christmas Eve) and got some pajamas. My cousins told me that we get pajamas every Christmas Eve...that's exciting! On Christmas day we opened the rest of the presents or I should say that mommy and daddy opened mine for me because I slept in grandpa's arms while he rocked me. Over all we had a great two days spending a lot of time with family! I am looking forward to next year when I can run up and down the stairs and pull the tissue paper out of the bags!!!


We are hopefully heading to Winston to celebrate Christmas with mommy's side of the family in the next day or two. I will tell you all about it when we get back home!

Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve and Santa is coming tonight!!! I am SUPER excited for the jolly old man to visit me since I've been so good for mommy and daddy! I'm now going 4 hours between feedings! This is great news for mommy since she gets close to three hour chunks of sleep! We have plans to go over to grandma and granddaddy's tonight to celebrate with all my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I'm sure mommy and daddy will take lots of pictures which they will put on here for you all to see. I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas Eve and I hope Santa is good to you all!

My adventures today

Me and mommy had lunch at daddy's work today. I got to meet some of his 'work friends', but I was not on my best behavior. I was SUPER hungry at the time so I cried a lot!! Next, we had an appointment with a nice nurse named Tonya at the health care center to see how I was eating and also check my weight. As you already guessed she said I was doing AMAZING...all the girls say that about me! Once daddy put me on the scale (which by the way was really cold AND I had to be naked) nurse Tonya told mommy and daddy my weight. Mommy was shocked when she said 7 pounds and 10 ounces! That's right - I am such a BIG boy now! Mommy is calling me a chunky monkey since my cheeks are filling out along with my legs! She wanted to take a picture to show you all how I am growing so check me out...I can really wear a diaper don't you think!

Happy Birthday Mommy

Today was mommy's birthday, I knew because she kept reminding me all day. Daddy helped me fix her a nice dinner and we both gave her a card and present. The cake was a big hit but we were so full from dinner we will save it for tomorrow.

Love my neighbors

Mommy and daddy have told me how great our neighborhood is and how much fun I will have in the upcoming years. There have been 5 boys born this year just in the houses right near us and one more boy on the way! We are all sooo excited to start playing together once we get bigger! I'm sure all of our mommies will start having play dates as soon as the weather gets warmer! I have only met Sherry and Rodney so far and here are our pictures together. I'm still waiting to meet their son Bensen...hopefully soon! Our windows are right across from each other so I foresee lots of trouble happening there!!! Hehehehe!

Cousin/Aunt Shannon

I am a little confused with this...mommy said you are my cousin, but that I will probably call you my Aunt Shannon. I guess you can explain this to me better once I get older! Either way I am ready for you to come back and visit me! It has been way too long since we snuggled together! Mommy says you take really good pictures and took pictures of me when I was inside her belly. I can not wait to see those! Come by my house soon...I miss you!

Hanging out with Grandma and Granddaddy

Here are some pictures with me and my grandma and granddaddy. They have been coming over to my house to visit as much as they can. Granddaddy says Grandma finds excuses to come hold me which he laughs about. Daddy told Granddaddy that they can just come over...no need for excuses!!! Mawmaw Deck came down from Memphis for a visit this week. I am her 4th great grandchild, but her first great grandson. We had the best time getting to know each other! It's my due date today!!!

Today is my due date...December 9th!!! I surprised mommy and daddy coming so early on November 6th! I just did not want to wait any longer to meet my wonderful parents! I know it was so warm and cozy in mommy's belly, but I like snuggling in their arms so much better! I also get to look at these really cool things called lights! I sure do love staring at them! When I am awake that is all I really do right now besides turning my head from side to side. Mommy and daddy say I look like Stevie Wonder when I do that!

I now weigh 6 pounds and 3.5 ounces! I am becoming such a BIG BOY ! Mommy is starting to put newborn outfits on me now although they are still a bit big on me. I will grow into them soon I bet! Guess that's it for now. I am going to celebrate my due date by having some yummy milk and taking a long nap!!!

Happy Birthday

I wanted to wish my great Aunt Sue Sue and my cousin Jarrett a Happy Birthday! Aunt Sue Sue's birthday was yesterday and Jarrett's is tomorrow. I do not have a picture with either of you yet so mommy can not put one on here. As soon as we take one I will tell mommy to post it. Happy Birthday! Love you both!

Family Time

I got to see my aunt Kristy, uncle Kent, and cousin Jordan yesterday. They drove all the way from Winston-Salem to spend some time with me.....man do I feel special! I had not seen them since the hospital so it had been a while! All three of them held me, but aunt Kristy held me the most! I had a trick up my sleeve and every time they put me down I would cry so that they would pick me up again!!! Hahahahaha! Thanks for coming to visit and mommy said you can come back anytime you want!!! Love you!

My first snow

Yesterday I got to experience something called snow! Mommy and daddy were super excited that it was snowing outside and told me that I had to like it because we would all go skiing when I got bigger.....I guess you need snow to be able to ski. Mommy bundled me all up so that I would not get too cold outside, but brrrrr!!!! It was definitely cold out there! It felt very different from being inside the warm house. Well, mommy and daddy didn't keep me outside to long, just long enough to take some pictures. I'm looking forward to getting bigger so that I can actually play in the snow and throw snow balls at my daddy!!!

My first bath

Today was a big day for me!!! I got my very first bath in a real bath tub or at least a bath tub my size! Mommy and daddy had the bathroom nice and warm for me since I had to strip down. At first I was unsure of what to think, but then I liked hanging out in the water. Daddy held my head for me so that I did not fall over...thanks dad! After a few minutes the water started to get a bit chilly so I cried for a while. That made mommy hurry up with all that washing and then I got to snuggle with her in a super warm towel! All in all I liked bath time and look forward to many more of them!

Umbilical Cord...gone!

FYI...I finally lost my umbilical cord today! Mommy was excited that it finally came off and she did not have to clean it anymore with alcohol, but she was also a little sad since it was the last thing that reminded her of when I was in her belly. She took a picture of my belly to show you all, but it still looked a little gross. Guess this means I am growing up!!! Yeah for me!

My new toy!

Check me out in my new bouncing seat! Thanks to grandma for picking it up for me yesterday. It is so much fun to sit in because it bounces me up and down and it even plays music. I tried to stay awake to enjoy it, but I fell right to sleep.
